The Criminal Investigation Division is commanded by a Captain, a Lieutenant, and two Sgt's.

The Division consists of

• One administrative assistant / evidence custodian
• Two narcotics investigators
• Three records clerks
• Seven criminal investigators

The criminal investigators are responsible for the investigation of crimes reported to the Sheriff’s Office. This Division works daily with other jurisdictions at the local, state, and federal levels in their efforts to solve crimes.

The Narcotics Investigators work in conjunction with the 21st-Judicial Drug Task Force, and are responsible for the investigations of illegal drug activity.
